The Islamic Leadership School
Surah Al-Zumr, ayah 9 reveals: “Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know?” Surah Al-Baqarah, ayah 269 reveals: “Allah grants wisdom to whom He pleases and to whom wisdom is granted indeed he receives an overflowing benefit.”
The Islamic Leadership School (ILS) was founded in 2001 to provide a welcoming and nurturing environment for Muslims to grow in every way. We are continually evolving to provide the best possible education for your child, while he/she embraces Islam.
We are a Charter school offering K to12 education to students of all religious and socio-economic backgrounds. The ILS is one of a few private educational institutions in the U.S. where academic and Islamic studies co-exist, and we are working towards accommodating up to 500 students.
The school’s principal, Mrs. Shireena Drammeh, has led and inspired many community initiatives, through which she has received a number of proclamations from elected officials, including New York City mayors and a New York State governor.
Imam Jaffer as-Sadiq (A.S.) has said about acting with knowledge:
“Accept not deed without knowledge, and there is not knowledge except with action. So, whoever knows, his knowledge leads him to action, and whoever acts not has no knowledge.”
